Why Ketamine?
Ketamine therapy has been used to treat depression, anxiety and to increase neuroplasticity. I have been incorporating ketamine into my treatment for the past 3 years, and have seen amazing results. I view ketamine as a way to open doors that otherwise feel quite stubborn, to make connections and better understand yourself, and to create new neuropathways.
A Tiny Chemistry Lesson…
Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic. Ketamine blocks NMDA receptors in the brain. This affects glutamate, leading to pain relief, anesthesia, and antidepressant effects. The most common reaction people have their first time trying ketamine is “This feels so good!” or “This is so fun!”.
How do we get started?
If you are interested in ketamine-assisted therapy, you would first need to meet with a prescriber. I can help you with this process. Once you have received the prescription, we would set up our KAP session, where you would take the medication sublingually. The session will likely last 2.5 to 3 hours. Some people notice a difference after just 1 session, others require more. Sessions can be done in person or virtually. For more questions about this process, please feel free to set up a consultation call with me.
